6-yr-old, man die in Billawar road mishap

Jammu, Feb 25: A minor girl among two people died when a mini bus they were travelling in skidded off and turned turtle in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir. "A mini bus JKO8C-1187 on way from Uchhapind to Billawar this afternoon skidded off the road and turned turtle when it reached Gurah Kalyal in Ramkote belt of Billawar," police here said. They said that one Asha Rani,6, daughter of Shiv Dass died on the spot while 11 others got injured.........................

Pilgrims’ registration to commence from Mar 1

Jammu, Feb 25: The Registration of pilgrims for this year's Shri Amarnath Yatra shall commence from March 1 for both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes. "The registration of pilgrims for Amarnath Yatra shall begin from March 1 and the registration shall be done through 433 designated branches of Punjab National Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank and YES Bank located in various States of the country," P K Tripathi, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, here said. 36 yr old jumps to death

Jammu, Feb 25: A 36-yr-old man today allegedly committed suicide by jumping from River Tawi bridge and died in this winter capital of the state. "A man identified as Tara Chand, son of Prem Chand, resident of Ramkote, tehsil Billawar, district Kathua, presently living in Gorkha Nagar, this evening jumped from a bridge on River Tawi in Gujjar Nagar area," police here said.
