15-hr gun-battle ends; policeman martyred, 2 terrorists gunned down
SRINAGAR, MAR 5: A 15-hour long gun-battle between security forces and militants ended at Tral in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday morning. One Jammu and Kashmir policeman was martyred at Hafoo Nazneenpora area in the wee hours today and two terrorists were gunned down during the fierce gun-battle that began Saturday night. Work begins on Udhampur’s first FM radio station

UDHAMPUR, MAR 5: Union Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh today laid foundation stone of the first-ever FM radio station in Udhampur district thus resulting in commencement of work on the project. Singh who is also the local MP from the area laid foundation of the project which will cost around R 10 crore. The proposed radio station at Udhampur will have a 10 KW FM transmitter, a studio and 100 meter tower. s 9.24 crore has been approved as the cost of civil works and equipment.
