NIA gives ‘clean chit’ to two suspects, hands over to Army for repatriation to Pakistan

Jammu, Mar 8: National Investigating Agency today gave 'clean chit' to the suspects arrested in connection with last year Uri attack and handed over to the Army for repatriation to the Pakistan. "The suspects namely Faisal Hussain Awan and Ahsan Khursheed, who were arrested by the NIA in connection with the terror attack at Uri Brigade Headquarter on September 18, 2016, have been released and handed over.....................

Snowfall, rain continues in Kashmir; national highway closed 
Srinagar, Mar 8: Cold wave conditions were today renewed in Kashmir Valley as intermittent snowfall and rains lashed some parts for the second day, prompting authorities to suspend traffic on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. "No movement of traffic, either from Jammu or Srinagar, was allowed on the national highway due to continuous snowfall and rains between Qazigund and Ramban stretch which triggered shooting of stones at several places," a spokesman of the traffic department said. Three arrested, Hizb module busted: Police

Srinagar, Mar 8: Police today claimed to have busted a module of Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit by arresting its three suspected members here. 60.03 pc voter turnout in UP phase-7
NEW DELHI: The seventh phase of Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh today witnessed 60.03 per cent voter turnout, while the second phase in Manipur saw a record voter turnout of 86 per cent, based on 75 per cent of total polling stations.
