3 terrorists, girl killed, cop hurt in Kupwara encounter

SRINAGAR, Mar 15: Three militants and a minor girl were today killed in an encounter between the ultras and security forces in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said.
The girl's brother and a policeman were also injured in the encounter which started this morning ........

Mehbooba pitches for opening more cross LoC routes

Sham Choudhary urges people not to dump garbage in canals  

Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today urged people to refrain from throwing garbage in irrigation canals and water-bodies, besides directing the concerned officers to take action against those, who dump trash along banks of the canals.
The Minister issued these instructions while inspecting ongoing de-silting works at various sites on Ranbir canal.

PK welcomes US Congress bill for declaring Pakistan a 'Terror State'

JAMMU, MAR 15: Panun Kashmir welcomes the move initiated by US lawmaker Congressman Ted Poe, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Terrorism to introduce a Bill in US Congress for declaring Pakistan as a 'State sponsor of terrorism'. It is a paradigm shift in thinking process at the global level regarding situation in Pakistan, which is responsible for harbouring, abetting and sponsoring terrorism in its neighbourhood, particularly in India. This was stated by the President of Panun Kashmir, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo while addressing a Press Conference here today. National Spokesperson, Virender Raina was also present on the occasion.........

6 dead, 8 injured and 20 trapped in collapsed building in Kanpur, rescue efforts underway
GKanpur, Mar 15: Six people were killed, eight injured and 20 feared trapped when a cold-storage facility collapsed in the Kanpur’s Shivrajpur area after a gas leak triggered an explosion.
According to SP (Rural) Rajesh Kumar, the gas leak started at the Katiyar Cold Storage in the afternoon..

GOA, Mar 15: After a young Irish woman was found dead on a beach in Goa, the police have arrested a man with a criminal record.
The 25-year-old tourist was reportedly seen playing Holi with villagers on South Goa. She was then found dead on the shore, naked. Vikas Bhagat, a criminal from Canacona village, was arrested today and is being interrogated...........
