Yogi Adityanath sworn in as UP's 21st CM
LUCKNOW, MAR 19: Priest-turned politician and controversial mascot of hardline Hindutva, Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the 21st chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and the fourth from the saffron party, ending its 15-year hiatus.BJP state unit chief Keshav Prasad Maurya and party's national vice president Dinesh Sharma were sworn in as cabinet ministers by Governor Ram Naik at a grand ceremony at Kanshiram Smriti Upvan here today.
They will assist 44-year-old Adityanath as deputy chief ministers. Interestingly, none of the three is a legislator in UP. ....................

JKPSC conducts Combined Competitive Preliminary exams
JAMMU, MAR 19: The J&K Public Service Commission today conducted the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2016 for 277 Gazetted posts in J&K Administrative Service, J&K Police Service and J&K Accounts Service.
A total number of 48000 applications were received and approximately 80% attendance was reported. The examination was conducted at 84 sub-centres across the State....................

Jat leaders call off agitation in Delhi after talks with Haryana chief minister
New Delhi, Mar 19: Jat leaders today called off their 'Delhi Gherao' agitation after the Haryana government agreed to their demands in a bid to end the community's 50-day long quota stir.
The decision came after CM Manohar Lal Khattar held talks with Jat leaders from the state earlier in the day. Khattar had stated that the state government was committed to resolve the issue..................


Parents can evict abusive adult children from their house: HC
New Delhi, Mar 19: Children who abuse their parents while staying with them in their house can be evicted from the property, the Delhi High Court has ruled. Justice Manmohan, in his ruling, specified that the house need not be self-acquired or owned by the parents. "As long as the parents have the legal possession of the property, they can evict their abusive adult children," the court said, adding that even the "courts have repeatedly acknowledged the right of senior citizens or parents to live peacefully and with dignity"..
